The brands behind every install
Every system is designed and installed using premium brands chosen for how they perform in Melbourne homes.
Two Trusted Families of Brands
The right brand for every part of the home
Every home is designed as one system, not a collection of gadgets. Each part of that system uses a brand chosen for the job it has to do, so the lighting, audio, video, security and networking all pull in the same direction.
Whole-home control
One app, one remote and wall or table touch screens control lighting, climate, audio, video and security from a single point. That is the appeal of Control4: instead of juggling a handful of apps and remotes, the whole home answers to one system. Scenes bring several rooms to life at a touch, and the same interface works whether you are home or away. Response Electrical is a Control4 Authorised Dealer, so the design, wiring and programming all sit with one accountable team.
Music and multi-room audio
For whole-home music we turn to a small group of brands that each do one job well. Bluesound streams high-resolution music to every room on the BluOS platform, and its NODE streamers add streaming to an existing hi-fi. NAD makes stereo and streaming amplifiers, and its custom-install range integrates with Control4. Sonance makes in-wall, in-ceiling and invisible speakers that keep the sound and lose the boxes. LEA Professional makes network-connected amplifiers for multi-zone systems, so every room plays what it should. See our multi-room audio service.
Home cinema
A private cinema needs serious sound behind a clean room. JBL Synthesis builds reference-grade home cinema systems and introduced the first THX-certified home theatre system. NAD makes AV receivers that drive the channels, while Sonance in-wall and invisible speakers keep the room looking like a living space rather than a speaker showroom. The result is cinema-grade impact without the equipment on display. See our home theatre service.
Projection and screens
For a true big-screen experience we pair the right projector with the right screen. Philips Projection makes LED home projectors with long-life light sources. Grandview makes motorised, ceiling-recessed and fixed-frame screens, including acoustically transparent options that let speakers sit behind the picture. Dragonfly makes motorised, fixed and ambient-light-rejecting screens that can lower automatically when the projector turns on, so the screen simply appears when the movie starts.
TV and video distribution
When every TV should share the same sources, video distribution does the heavy lifting. Binary sends any source to any screen in the home, including 4K HDR over the home network, so a single equipment rack feeds every room. For spaces that are not a conventional living room at all, SunBriteTV makes TVs built for outdoor use, with a series matched to how much sun the space gets. The same sources, the same control, wherever the screen lives.
Outdoor entertaining
Outdoor living deserves the same care as the indoors. Sonance landscape, garden, patio and rock speakers cover gardens and pool areas with even sound, including in-ground subwoofers. SunBriteTV has a series for full shade, partial sun and full sun, so the screen suits the exposure. For speeches and events at home, Chiayo Electronics makes portable wireless PA systems and wireless microphones that set up in minutes and pack away just as easily.
Networking and Wi-Fi
Every smart home depends on its network, so we treat Wi-Fi as infrastructure rather than an afterthought. Araknis routers, switches and indoor and outdoor wireless access points provide whole-home Wi-Fi, managed remotely through OvrC. That means coverage reaches the garden and the pool house, and we can monitor and troubleshoot the network without always needing to be on site. See our networking service.
Security and surveillance
For cameras that belong with the rest of the smart home, we install Luma. Luma cameras and recorders work with Control4, so camera feeds can be viewed in the Control4 app and on the same touch screens that run the lighting and audio. LumaLink provides secure remote access, so you can check the property from anywhere. It is security that feels like part of the home rather than a separate system bolted on. See our CCTV security service.
Chosen for performance, reliability and how well they work together
We do not stock every brand on the shelf. The names below are the ones we trust to perform, to last, and to behave as part of one system rather than a row of separate boxes.
Built to work together
Many of the brands we install integrate with Control4, so the whole home runs from one app rather than a cluster of separate controllers.
Designed to disappear
Invisible speakers, ceiling-recessed screens and hidden equipment keep the technology out of sight, so the architecture and interiors come first.
Locally supported
The Ambertech brands are supplied through an Australian distributor with local technical support, so help is close at hand when it is needed.
Monitored remotely
Araknis networks and LEA amplifiers can be checked remotely, so problems can be found early and often resolved without a call-out.
Installed by licensed professionals
Every system is designed and installed by a licensed Victorian electrical contractor (Licence No. 19856, Class A), so the wiring and compliance are in accountable hands.
